Sophie TELLIER
Actress, singer, dancer, choreographer and today author, Sophie Tellier has many strings to her bow. She has performed on the biggest stages under the direction of big names in live entertainment. Actress, from private to public, she juggles with roles and repertoires.
She is notably Francis Perrin’s Armandine in Le Dindon. Nicolas Briançon directs her in Clérambard, Jacques Lassalle in Loin de Corpus Christi, Le Douarec in De Obaldia. Jean-Luc Revol will have her opposite Michel Aumont in King Lear and Jean-Marie Besset will make her the heart friend of his Jean Moulin… With Philippe Calvario, she visits the big names of the repertoire, Shakespeare, Sophocles , Mayenburg, Koltès or Marivaux. She will also be Morgane in Excalibur at the Stade de France…
She plays in The Canapé by Patrice Leconte, in Belles de scène, directed by Stéphane Cottin and in Le Chevalier et la Dame by Goldoni, directed by Jean-Luc Revol. On screen, we see her with Lautner or Jeunet, partner of Serrault or Aznavour, or with Antoine De Caunes and José Garcia in Nulle Part Ailleurs.
Singer, in Emilie Jolie by Philippe Chatel, Peter Pan by Alain Marcel at the Casino de Paris, with Jérôme Savary in Y’a de la joie and La Périchole at the Théâtre National de Chaillot then at the Opéra-Comique. She plays Carla in Nine at the Folies Bergère then Camille Claudel in Camille C. (J-L Moreau, Molière Musical 2005). She works with Alfredo Arias and also participates in Dreyfus, the latest creation by Michel Legrand and Didier Van Cauwelaert at the Nice Opera.
Choreographer, for numerous opera productions, including L’Enlèvement au Sérail (Zabou Breitman, Opéra Garnier), Angels in America (Calvario, Théâtre du Châtelet), La Traviata (Bélier-Garcia, Orange Festival)… She was associate choreographer of Mylène Farmer at Bercy and at the Palais des Sports. She is also “the rival” in three of her video clips (Libertine, Pourvu qu’elles soient douces and Tristana). She has choreographed several musical theater shows including : Piaf, je t’aime at the Théâtre du Gymnase, Le Gros, la Vache et le Mainate for the Théâtre du Rond-Point or Excalibur at the Stade de France.
The musical piece Chère Insaisissable is her first text, awarded by the 2019 Alter Publishing Prize. She plays it for the first time in Avignon, in the summer of 2023, then at the Théâtre Lucernaire (Paris) from 2024, May 1st.
In 2023, Sophie Tellier became the godmother of the project : a friendly and humorous wink to the role she played in the 1986 film « Libertine », she agreed to come to Sète to shoot with hospital professionals, while ensuring the staging !
